The CO2 emissions from heating in Flemish buildings increased by 24.5% between 1990 and 2006. In 2004, this sector caused 20% of the emission of greenhouse gases. Therefore, sustainable buildings are a key element to turn the climate crisis into a unique opportunity for a better functioning, energy efficient, attractive society.

From this vision Futureproofed was involved in various projects in which low energy consumption was the central thought.

Besides the usual responsibilities of the EPB officer (starting declaration, final EPB declaration, proper reporting of the actual situation) Futureproofed is convinced of the importance of his role as an Energy Advisor both in private, public or industrial building projects.
